  • Assisted this global leader in multicurrency solutions in researching the potential for its services amongst money transfer players here in the U.S. and in select international markets.  Their solutions, now resident on more than 100,000 websites worldwide, eliminate the FX risks inherent in managing foreign currencies. Based upon our findings, client has made a recommendation to its Board to pursue this industry and continues to work with The Rye Group on strategy and execution.

  • Assisted mobile phone player in the development of a companion prepaid MasterCard as a mobile wallet for cash access purposes. We identified a prepaid partner that could meet their feature and functionality requirements as well as their fast go-to-market time requirements. Product in development; ongoing strategic support being provided.
  • Providing strategic advisory services to a European-based electronic payments company exploring the adjacent global money transfer space. Initial efforts involve a thorough briefing on the category, areas of forward growth and competitive profiling.
  • Provided strategic support and due diligence assistance to a leading electronic payments company considering making a bid on Vigo Remittance Corp. In addition to serving as part of their due diligence team, we also served as a strategic sounding board for senior management and developed alternative entry strategies. Next steps to include market scan of other, smaller players, and strategic alliance discussions.
  • Assisting one of the world’s largest credit card companies in examining alternative money transfer scenarios for the LAC region, serving as a strategic sounding board for their senior management, providing assessments of several planned pilot programs and recommendations on how to improve their chances of success.
  • Establishing Partnerships in Latin America and the Caribbean for a Cross Border Bill Payment Startup Company. Utilizing Latin America based staff, The Rye Group LLC established key relationships and technical connectivity in record time, with major banks, utilities, wireless carriers and major retailers to enable standard and expedited bill payments and top-ups of wireless accounts throughout the LAC region. The Rye Group staff are also providing strategic support and functioning as the company’s marketing department from strategy to execution.

Defined new sales and marketing organization and managed executive search for a new VP – Sales. Identified potential strategic alliance partners and initiated exploratory discussions.
